Return of the RoboMower
Yay! The robot is back in full force. Although full force can't quite handle the jungle we've got going on back there. Hopefully we'll be back to the norm and lookin good in a few days.
It not trying to turn but actually trying to go straight that makes the curves. :)
When it hits bumps or those really thick grass sections it often gets screwed up peeling out and stuff. It's got a sensor in it like a compass that then tells it "hey, you're going the wrong way". So it makes corrective turns to try to adjust back onto the line it started out on. It's really amplified with 8"+ tall grass.
But if you were getting rescued by a robot... wouldn't you want it to be the most mean killer looking thing around? Big red glowing eyes and tons of guns and laser beams... I mean come-on. What's the enemy to think when he sees the teddy bear pulling you to safety??

I hope the mower doesn't protest all that super long grass and end up killing somebody! ;)
So what causes the mower to turn slightly like that? Looking at the tracks, there seems to be a pattern.

If that makes any sense. :)
OK, so I've got another robot link for the day.... I think the "Teddy bear" face is just beyond weird though.
The "friendly appearance" of the robot puts me at ease.
